ABOUT CHILDREN'S FORTRESS AFRICA

CFA is based in Nairobi, Kenya.  We have an experienced and passionate local staff team of 13 team members in Kenya that is committed to loving service.

We run six shipping container library projects (two in communities and four in rehabilitation shelters).  We work in collaboration with various actors to alleviate the plight of street-connected children in Kenya. Our mandate is to create an environments that supports the well-being of street-connected children before, during and after they are restored to the community.  

 

We have a highly resourceful governing board that supports our strategic projects by providing administrative and program expertise.

In addition, we vet and engage volunteers at the grassroots to ensure efficiency in the monitoring support to reintegrated children within Nairobi and in rural areas where applicable. We are committed to deliver quality service through good stewardship of resources.

Children's Fortress Africa (CFA) is a registered 'not for profit organization' (ABN 56 694 089 692) with the Australian government body - Australian Charities and not for profit Commission. We are also registered as an NGO in Kenya (registration number OP.218/051/14-0102/9737).  Our constitution mandates us with a call to serve all children regardless of their ethnicity, race, religious or political affiliation, gender and social status.
